Fantasy leagues for soccer, basketball, and other team sports have existed for decades, giving fans the chance to live out the dream of managing their favorite professional teams. Since this model works for traditional sports, why shouldn’t it work for esports teams?
This is where Eion comes into play. Developed by Aghs Labs, Eion is a brand-new platform designed to bring together various Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports teams, clubs, and fans into a thriving community. Fans can participate in this fantasy league in a variety of ways, including through features like Locker and Invoke.
Locker is a prediction-based virtual trading card game where the goal is to achieve the highest possible score by predicting the outcomes of ongoing esports matches. Players must strategically select players, skills, and support cards to earn points based on their predictions.
Players can acquire their favorite players by purchasing booster packs; each pack contains five random Aion cards. There are three types of packs: Standard Packs (containing the full range of cards), Utility Packs (focusing on support and skills), and Team-Exclusive Packs.
Cards can be combined at the Forge to upgrade them and boost their power. By using these upgraded cards in the Locker and making accurate predictions, players can earn prestige on the leaderboard.
“Invoke” is another mode designed specifically for fans and spectators, allowing players to build their own dream teams by selecting their favorite players from various teams and regions. Similar to traditional fantasy leagues, fans earn points based on each player’s individual performance throughout the season and can redeem these points for exclusive rewards.
Players can also earn fragments through Locker Matches, which can be used to open Ion Boost Packs. Additionally, leaderboards display each Ion player’s standing in terms of seasonal, weekly, and prestige rankings.
